Лет ми спик фром май харт, блять!

Как мы все помним, в следующем году у нас будет Евро 2012. Я футболом не интересуюсь, поэтому спокойно отношусь к надвигающемуся мероприятию, можно даже сказать, нейтрально. Ну, будет -- и пусть будет...

Но вот сегодня прочитал новость, что открылся официальный (!) веб-сайт города Харькова, как принимающего Евро-2012. Причем сайт, как было написано в новости, поддерживается на трех языках: украинском, русском и английском.

Ради "посмотреть, что они там перевели" я и полез смотреть этот, с позволения сказать, сайт. Моя интуиция меня не подвела:

"Хвост кампании Игоря" -- уже пиздец. -th после римских цифр -- без слов.

Впечатление, что текст переводился каким-то второкурсником-двоечником коммерческого инязя, потому что при переводе нарушены все принципы теории и практики перевода, а местами и лексикологии, которые только можно нарушить в таком коротеньком и незамысловатом тексте.

По сути, этот текст можно целиком включать в какую-нибудь методичку на тему "Никогда, дети, так не переводите". Наверное, стоит этот текст опубликовать полностью:

Kharkiv is one of historical cities of Ukraine, forms a part of the League of historical cities. Its foundation goes to the middle of XVIIth century, but still in the VII – VIIIth centuries within the modern borders of the city there was a fortified outpost of Kievskaya Rus’ – Donez town (known by chronicles and “The Tail of Igor’s Campaign”).

The historical heritage contains a big amount of monuments of different centuries.  The city is rich especially for outstanding architectural sights of the XIX-XXth centuries, but there are buildings of the earlier period (Pokrovskiy and Uspenskiy cathedrals, the old university house etc.). Modern and constructivism are the two tendencies which are represented the most. There are 7 national museums in Kharkiv (historical, art, nature under the National University, literature etc.). Tens of museums are founded on the public principles. Among the monumental architecture which attracts peoples’ attention there is one of the best monuments to T.G. Shevchenko, V.N. Karazin etc.

Libraries and other literary and archive collections relate to the cultural heritage. Among them there are the fundamental library of V.G. Korolenko (one of the biggest in Ukraine) and Kharkiv national university library.

Gardens and parks are of great historic-architectural value. Among them there are the oldest university botanical gardens in Ukraine, forest park, and Memorial Fame complex. Life and activities of many outstanding figures of Ukrainian and Russian culture are connected with Kharkiv (G.S. Skovoroda, H. D. Alchevskaya, A.S. Makarenko, I.I. Mechnikov, N. V. Lysenko etc.). Memorial apartments are functioning, memorial and commemorative boards are there on many houses.

Great interest is presented by the monuments of technical thought (the oldest observatory in Ukraine etc.).

Kharkiv takes the second place after Kiev in Ukraine on the amount of memorials, art monuments and others outstanding sights. Its museums contain hundreds of thousand documentary materials of the past, including those unique, having the national-wide meaning.

 Да, и чисто с экономической точки зрения, было бы интересно узнать, за какие деньги создавался данный сайт и сколько это стоило.
